Start with the hat.
That's not how I usually tell this story, but it's genuinely where most people start on the site. The Caddie Green Hat is our best seller, and it's been that way for a while. Deep green, white "CADDIE" embroidered in a raised 3D chain stitch across the front, solid structured back, snapback closure. Kids and adults both wear it. It's the piece that makes a stranger across a parking lot immediately know what your kid is supposed to be.
The uniform does the rest. But the hat is the thing that makes people stop and say "wait, where did you get that?"
The Costume Parents Actually Ask About First
There's a version of this where I give you the inspirational origin story right away. I'll get there. But what parents searching for a Halloween caddie outfit for kids really want to know first is: "Will this look like a real costume, or will it look like something I grabbed off Amazon at 11 PM?"
Here's the direct answer. The Caddie Uniform kids coverall is made from a polycotton blend that feels soft against skin and holds its shape through a full evening of trick-or-treating. It's a long-sleeve white one-piece jumpsuit, not a bib, not an apron, a full coverall with a proper collar and cuffs. It looks like a real uniform because the construction is based on one.
What's included with every kids' caddie Halloween costume:
- White long-sleeve coverall, polycotton blend, unisex, true to size
- Name patch (Velcro, goes on the back)
- Number patch (Velcro, goes on the front)
- Logo patch (Velcro, goes on the front, eight preset designs or upload your own)
- Sizes: 0-3 months through 12 years old
- Production takes 1-2 days from when your order is complete. Ships from Arkansas.
Why the Green Caddie Hat Is the Best Seller
The hat earns that spot. Let me tell you what's actually on it, because the details matter.

The 3D chain stitch is the detail parents don't expect. It's not a flat iron-on transfer that cracks after one wash. The embroidery has dimension to it. You can feel it when you run a thumb across the front. That's what makes the hat photograph the way it does and hold up past one season.
How I Got Here
In 2018, my son was two years old, and I asked him if he wanted to dress up as a caddie for Halloween. He didn't really care either way. I cared a lot.
I searched everywhere for a white kids' coverall that looked like a real caddie uniform. Nothing existed. So I ordered 100 from a manufacturer, made one for my son, and put the other 99 on Etsy. Sold them all in about four months.
That's the whole founding story. A dad, a Halloween costume, and 99 strangers on the internet who had the exact same problem I did.
We've been featured in Golf Magazine since then. We've had kids meet Tiger Woods, Phil Mickelson, Rory McIlroy, Scottie Scheffler, and Rickie Fowler while wearing these uniforms. Scottie Scheffler's orange prison caddie outfit even went viral, and we got pulled into that whole conversation, which was fun.
The uniform started as a Halloween caddie outfit for one kid. It's been a lot of things since then.
Customizing the Patches: What You Can Actually Do
This is where the costume stops being generic and starts being theirs.
Logo patch options (choose one or upload your own):
- American flag
- Golf flag
- Happy Birthday
- Golf cart
- Golf ball
- Crossed clubs
- Bushwood Country Club
- Mama/Dada
- Your own custom image or design
The name goes on the back. Big enough to read from a few feet away. The number goes on the front along with the logo. When someone sees your kid from behind and reads their name on the back of a white coverall, that's the moment the costume lands.
All three patches are Velcro-backed. They attach firmly during wear and come off cleanly when you want to switch them. After Halloween, swap the logo patch and the same uniform works for a birthday party, a golf outing, or a Father's Day round with grandpa.
Sizing Without the Guesswork
The kids' uniform runs from 0-3 months through 12 years old. Unisex design. True to size across the range.
The measurement that matters most is torso length — shoulders to crotch. The arms and legs are intentionally cut long so they can be rolled up as your child grows. Here's the breakdown:
|
Age Range |
Torso |
What to Know |
|
0-3 months through 18 months |
13.5" – 17" |
Infant sizing, snug polycotton fit |
|
2T through 5T |
18" – 22" |
Toddler range, most popular for first Halloween |
|
6 through 12 years |
23" – 29" |
Youth sizing, true to size, go up if in between |
If your child is right on the edge of a size, go up. The polycotton blend has enough give that a slightly bigger size still looks neat, and kids tend to move a lot on Halloween. A little room is fine – the elastic waistband keeps the shape, and the extra length rolls up cleanly.
Not sure? Measure from shoulder to crotch and match it to the column above. If you're between sizes, size up. You can also text 267-221-6111 with any sizing questions.
After Halloween: What Happens to the Uniform
The families who reorder every year usually started because the uniform outlasted the holiday.
A few places the same coverall ends up after October:
- Birthday parties. Swap the logo patch with a Happy Birthday patch, and it's a completely different costume.
- Father-son golf outings. The uniform is sturdy enough for an actual round. We've seen kids caddie 9 holes in one.
- Junior golf events. Country clubs with junior programs have started ordering them for their youngest members.
- School spirit days, especially around the time of major golf tournaments on TV.
The hat travels everywhere too. The green caddie hat becomes a kid's favorite hat long after Halloween ends, which is honestly the outcome I'm most proud of.
Dog Caddie Bibs: The Four-Legged Caddie
If the kid is in the coverall and the hat, the dog should be in the bag. The Dog Caddie Bib is a white mini uniform built for medium to large dogs with the same polycotton fabric and Velcro patch system. Custom name on the back, number on the front, logo on the front. Adjustable straps keep it secure without restricting movement.
It won't survive a roll in the mud, but it will survive a neighborhood loop and every photo op on the way. We've seen labs, goldens, and one very committed French bulldog wear these to Halloween parties and actual golf events. If you're doing a full family costume, the dog caddie bib is the detail that makes people pull out their phones.
Sizing Exchanges: What to Know Before You Order
If the size isn't right when it arrives, you have 14 days from delivery to request a sizing exchange. Mail the uniform with a $15 check payable to "Caddie Uniform" and a note with your order number, new size, and shipping address to our returns address in Bentonville, Arkansas. Keep all three Velcro patches — those stay with you. We'll send the new size out once the original arrives.
That $15 covers the return shipping and processing. Because the patches are removable, the exchange is just the coverall itself, nothing else. If your child is between sizes and you're unsure, we'd rather you size up and exchange down if needed than miss Halloween waiting on a second order.
When to Order
Production is 1-2 days from when your order is complete, meaning all patch info is submitted. We ship from Arkansas. For domestic orders, plan on a few business days in transit after production wraps.
For Halloween, ordering by early-to-mid October gives you comfortable lead time without any stress. Browse the full kids caddie uniform collection and add the hat at checkout. They're better together.
